Deacon is very very bad. But it was his first year in the program, and he wasn't expecting to play at all much less start. This season was the first time he had at a collegiate level. Spencer was groomed for it 2 years with this program and was given basically all the snaps for 3 seasons and was still 100% awful. That is much worse than where Deacon is. I think you'd have to give Deacon an incomplete even if does appear he's heading for a big fat F.
