I have zero inside info, but based on the leaks I've seen, this is my current bold prediction.

60% Youngish coach inside a Shanahan inspired NFL offense (SF, LA, GB, etc). Klint Kubiak is the obvious name here, but he's definitely kicking the tires on more than one guy in this category.
30% Chryst
3% Frost
7% Other

I might be completely wrong, but I've seen enough people suggest that Kirk is seriously pursuing the first option, that it makes me believe that's his preference. I think if it doesn't happen, it means he was turned down by the guys he wanted.

Frosts run game usually gave Iowa fits. Seeing as though Iowa/Kirk have accepted that the cut block rule don’t really allow for them to run the outside zone the way they would like anymore, a move like this actually makes some sense. Especially if they allow him to incorporate some RPOs which would be perfect for the players Iowa can actually get at receiver.

And even if Iowa doesn’t end up hiring Frost, I’d rather have a person running a website at least comment on what they’ve heard rather than what Kakert is currently doing by saying ‘they are having conversations and we’ll likely know after the bowl game’
