This. There are loads of OCs that you could hire even on the cheap that are better than Brian Fucking Ferentz. Non P5 OCs and HCs are making shit for money. Position coaches in the NFL make less than $800K. There are some NFL OCs that only make that much. The $800K is dumb, but it’s not a limitation on getting an actual good OC. The bar is the lowest possible.
This. It can't be that hard to find some OC in the MAC, Sun Belt, Mountain West, or CUSA that generally agrees with your philosophy and fits and wants to double or even triple their income.

Slight clarification here....he only gets involved when the money becomes a question. There is a well understood, general understanding of what funds they have and dont have available. Only when a player needs a special deal that exceeds those amounts would he need to be brought in.
