Someone on twitter said that the initial caller read a tweet from last summer about Martin transferring and mistakenly thought it was from today. So he called into Harty, who decided it was official!

Plenty of blame to go around on this one. For me, the bulk of it was on KF. We were late getting the play in & broke the huddle with like 9 seconds left on the play clock. There wasn't time for the check NS was trying to make and you could see the dumpster fire developing from a long way off. It was KF's job to be further down the sideline & more in the Line Judges ear with a TO (since that's his one job).

Moorehouse understand the game the best, and writes about it. He has just become lazy. Hlas just writes whiny shit and dumb jokes. The Register guys seem more interested in writing stories, nttawwt.

They all showed how insufferable they are during the Dolph ordeal. You can stand up for “one of your own” without making it into a circus the way they all did. That is also what opened my eyes to how terrible Chris Hassel is and made me wonder how I overlooked it for so long.

Chad and Dochterman are really the only two worth glancing at these days. The rest are a combination of annoying, lazy, or just completely lacking of football knowledge. Pharty remains the best twitter follow though

When Morehouse gets something he can sink his teeth into I think he's pretty good. The massive Wirfs series this year and the countdown of all the Ferentz wins were both excellent. My biggest issue with him is when he tries to cram pop culture references in but then panics that no one will get it and spends a full paragraph awkwardly explaining the plot of Blade Runner or whatever.

Hlas doesn't really seem like he enjoys sports at all and tries way to hard to be Dave Berry without being clever enough to pull it off.

The 2020 team is basically set at this point outside of a grad transfer punter or defensive end. There might be another 4-5 players leaving between now and summer, but any of those are likely to be non-contributors.

If Petras is even close to as good as Brian, KOK and now Kirk is letting on, he could be an all timer. Given that he is going to start with what looks to be a strong OL, the best WR group in years, stud TE's and really solid RB's, he will have more of an advantage starting out than any first year Iowa QB since Brad Banks.

He had a really bad injury but definitely worth a shot. Kind of interesting spot for them to be looking for a transfer given how much Kallenberger was playing at the end of the year, but four year big ten starting LT is probably too good to pass up.
