Same net result, but not even close to the same pushback. People get sick and they want to go to a doctor and take some meds to get better. You're not dealing with a healthy person, possibly wearing a tinfoil hat, and asking them to get vaccinated for the sake of keeping everybody collectively healthy.

No. You would end up with higher death rates and more spread, but there would be enough change in human behavior to arrest the spread, then start it up in waves. Similar to 1918, but without a guarantee that a less horrific strain would become dominant.

Honestly, I think we're already there, aren't we? When 75% of your Covid deaths are from nursing homes & 85-90% are over the age of 75, with significant comorbidities...I think our treatments are just fine. Again, Minnesota has 400 non-nursing home deaths...Iowa has about 300.
