Buckle upPart of me wonders how much worse our WR recruiting can get

Eat shit, Eric
This type of stuff is horse shit. Most non retards (@Kamala this is not you lately) don’t want tons of changes. They want Kirk to understand we have the worst quarterback in FBS and that the alternatives on the roster can only be equally as bad and not worse. So why not see if they’re actually better?
Iowa seems to be loaded at certain positions and bankrupt at others.Certainly not QBs or WRs.
The lack of personnel at key positions in year 24 is inexcusable. The staff knew what they had last year and did nothing in response. In the era of the transfer portal it’s especially inexcusable.
Iowa’s offense has been clowned on for years, as mentioned i think iowa fans largely thought, “it’s just slow it down, defense and special teams be great, and offense efficient and win games.” Iowa’s offense hasn’t been efficient for years, and we had two receivers bail and get replaced by a patriot league tight end. While also giving the overwhelmed offensive coordinator the quarterbacks, and supposedly simplifying the offense. Well, two games in against an FCS team, and iowa state in Kinnick and the offense is fucking pathetic and the quarterback blows and it’s “business as usual.” That’s bad.I hate to break this to you, but this isn't bottom or even close to it. Bottom will begin when the full weight of Kirk's dumbfuckery re: Petras (and Brian) is felt. It'll probably start with a huge number of transfers. Plus, they'll lose Campbell and Moss to the NFL.
Iowa is getting clowned by everyone. Recruiting is going to become brutal and it's not like Iowa has been great in that regard even when their HC wasn't a punchline.
WR recruiting has been subpar. The QB recruiting has been bad bc of a series of guys turning out to not be that good but were decently rated.Certainly not QBs or WRs.

Of course. I’m just saying the recruiting on paper has actually been pretty good.Rated decent because of potential, development has been lacking
Any sane rational person would think he'd want to pair an even below average offense to go with great defense and STs, putting his team in play for a NY6 bowl, but what does this armchair QB know?
Portal gods willing.
Yeah seems like it with all that talent on the offensive side of the ballActually recruiting has been good for awhile now.
Top 30 classes the last 3 years.Yeah seems like it with all that talent on the offensive side of the ball
Why do the shitty QBs get free reign every ~7 years
Portal gods willing.
Seems like they should be wary of 4* slow footed pocket passersWhich again exposes the coaches on offense for the results they’ve been getting.
3 year auto senorityWhy do the shitty QBs get free reign every ~7 years
Most people don't want wholesale changes. They want Kirk to make the changes necessary to drag the offense up to sub-par.
He should list team offense and defense rankings. Most people don't want wholesale changes. They want Kirk to make the changes necessary to drag the offense up to sub-par.
The only reason wholesale changes would need to be made would be if Kirk refused to do it.
Perhaps that fella doesn’t know “wholesale” doesn’t equal “play just well below average offense, not dead fucking last offense.”Most people don't want wholesale changes. They want Kirk to make the changes necessary to drag the offense up to sub-par.

Maybe Iowa should stop recruiting QBs whose best offer prior to Iowa’s was Oregon St.WR recruiting has been subpar. The QB recruiting has been bad bc of a series of guys turning out to not be that good but were decently rated.
This isn't even correct. Iowa had a better winning % in the 7 year stretches ending in 1904, 1905, 1922, 1923, 1924, 1925, 1960, 1961, and 1962.
As long as they hold onto the commitments and don't lose players to the portal.Actually recruiting has been good for awhile now.
Yeah, but has Banks ever been in a foursome with L Wade at a charity golf function?McCann was certainly clearly inferior moving the ball against Michigan in that close home loss.
You are a dumb.Lol that still think banks was the better option in 2001.
McCann was huge for the program at the time, and he’s basically hated for it.
Firsr, I appreciate the inclusion of “lately”. Thank you for that. This type of stuff is horse shit. Most non retards (@Kamala this is not you lately) don’t want tons of changes. That's a weird place to have group sexYeah, but has Banks ever been in a foursome with L Wade at a charity golf function?
Iowa State had drives of 38, 49, 76, and 99 yards that all crossed midfield.Iowa’s offense has been clowned on for years, as mentioned i think iowa fans largely thought, “it’s just slow it down, defense and special teams be great, and offense efficient and win games.” Iowa’s offense hasn’t been efficient for years, and we had two receivers bail and get replaced by a patriot league tight end. How many times have opponents crossed the 50 without a turnover from Petras this season? Is it twice? How fucking great does the defense need to be?
Kirk’s recent record also benefits greatly for being in the big ten west and a soft out of conference schedule every year
You should put that on a tshirtIowa State had drives of 38, 49, 76, and 99 yards that all crossed midfield.
The offense moved much better when Banks came in for McCann. Then worse when McCann came back in.I don’t think it’s a slam dunk that the team has measurably more success that year with Banks at QB, but I also don’t think there’s much chance at all they have less.
So 4 times in 2 games. Iowa’s earned zero points via offense(drives of 16 and 4 yards resulting in points), and the defense has given up midfield four fucking times.Iowa State had drives of 38, 49, 76, and 99 yards that all crossed midfield.
Well when you only know “around 10 plays” it’s hard to accrue a sufficient “body of work”.The offense moved much better when Banks came in for McCann. Then worse when McCann came back in.
Then create easier plays and let the playmaker stay on the field.Well when you only know “around 10 plays” it’s hard to accrue a sufficient “body of work”.
I get this logic but come on, he has no control over how good the other teams in the division are. There are 7 teams in the division and only 3 have won it in the last 8 years. In that timeframe he’s knocked off top 5 Penn State, top 5 Ohio State and top 5 Michigan along with a top 10 (at the time) Iowa State team.Kirk’s recent record also benefits greatly for being in the big ten west and a soft out of conference schedule every year
