brevin doll has to be gone after this season. hes too far down the depth chart and watches his high school qb get boatloads of carries at iowa state

I listened or skipped through just about every podcast and prediction on both sides. Nearly every single person has this as a close 16-13 or at worst a 20-17 type game. I'm sure there is someone out there with something different, but vast majority are on the exact same thing of close game and the under.

I said it in an earlier post in this thread, but after looking at how Iowa has done on the road in the last year under Lester and given the fact that nearly everyone is never right about this shit, give me Iowa 31-10.

They jump on them early like they did against USC via some fantastic Lester calls and a big run and get out to a lead. Michigan 2026 isn't USC and they start to press and turn the ball over and it is 21-3 at half. Iowa adds a TD and FG in the second half and gives up a late TD.

There's a reasonable probability that Michigan legit sucks. They lost to Western Michigan, barely beat Oklahoma (who almost lost to New Mexico), and were basically tied with UTEP at half time. They put up some points on UTEP in the second half, but do you know how bad the UTEP defense is? Oklahoma's offense put up 51 on them.

For something like 31-10 to happen, offensively they need to be able to run the ball and Hank has to not poop himself. On defense, edge play needs to be there to stop outside runs and contain Underwood, and being +2 in the TO margin could unlock an ass kicking.

I would have believed a score like this was possible if I saw Iowa run the ball for 5YPC+ against ISU. Their inability to do that, and this being Hank's first road start, has me assuming this is going to be a bad offensive performance. I can't remember the last time Iowa's offense looked solid in September against a team with a pulse. Hopefully Lester proves me wrong.
