The most successful coach in the I am a giant douche(currently coaching)utilizes a very similar 2 foul rule. Now it can probably be argued that there isn’t as much of a drop off from their 1st and 2nd units as there is at Iowa. So maybe the strategy is more appropriate for their situation. I believe Beilein was pretty similar as well while at Michigan. I think if one were to dig into the efficacy of the strategy it would be a mixed bag of results.
