I was told by a friend who heard this from the guy that runs the hawkeye huddle to not buy tickets until the day of as there will be a fire sale as the place never even close to sells out.

I'm sure everything will work out swimmingly for me.

That is good advice for just about any sporting event these days. I was visiting my in-laws in the Bay Area last month and bought last minute tickets to Oregon St-Cal on SeatGeek for $8 after fees and could sit wherever I wanted. The lowest prices were still $25-30 the day before. Like your buddy said, it will be the same situation Friday.

Medically, not a lot of updates. Luke I think has a chance. He's a little bit limited right now, but practicing, and we'll see how it goes this week. I think he's close. But we have to plan to go without him, and the guys have stepped in working in his spot have done a nice job, so we'll see what the week looks like on that front. Cade will not make the game. He will not be ready to go. Hopefully during the bye week we can get him back and running a little bit. Otherwise, pretty much things are status quo.

RE: Rose Bowl grass, I assumed it would be Bermuda 36 like everything out here, but they actually swapped it for Kentucky bluegrass right before the Iowa/Stanford Rose Bowl game. It’s still that kind so hopefully theyll get the cleats right this time.

Up until the Michigan State game a couple weeks ago, I’m not sure if I had ever seen a more abysmal display of athleticism and coordination from an Iowa defense. It was the closest thing to the proverbial baby deer on ice I had ever witnessed in my adult life.
