No one in chat had any idea other than balls saying someone lost a helmet. The broadcast never mentioned it. They seemed to want the game to be over at that point.

Sounds like you ladies were too busy chatting and not listening.

Probably talking about how great they looked, potential for running the table and general sunshine. Not surprised you weren't participating.

@AZmessDAWG - I didn't miss your call out yesterday, but was driving home from Kin-nick like the true fan I am.

While he technically isn't starting at MLB (that's Cam The Man Buffington who I was extremely high on in the offseason), I apologize to Jayden Montgomery. He's playing great. Instinctual and very fast in his run fits. He's does have some limitations, especially in coverage, but they are somewhat masked by Cam's amazing range and elite size and speed.

Thank you for holding me to account.

The way the Iowa-Wisconsin rivalry has taken a turn in the last 5 years has been absolutely beautiful. Smacking the shit out of them feels good.
My Wisconsin family isn’t even fighting back. They’ve been subdued.

I can appreciate what Jayden is doing while still being excited about the dawn of the Julian Manson era next fall. I think he and Buffington are going to be amazing together, but he's admittedly probably not yet ready. Hopefully we can keep Weiskopf and especially Ries happy in more limited specialty roles.

I think you have it backwards.

Montgomery is helping Buffington look good. Not that Buffington isn't good, he absolutely is. But Montgomery has elite knowledge and instincts, he's almost always in position, he anticipates as well as anyone Iowa has ever had, and that has freed Cam up to be the player he currently is. Montgomery got a bad rap early on and certain fans just can't seem to let that perception go and see how good he truly is. Too bad he's so short the nfl won't give him a chance.

Agree to disagree!

If we had 2 Jaydens out there, we'd be considerably more fucked than we would be with 2 Cams.

Because Gus is physically superior to most men, he's prejudiced against those who might not fit the ideal physical mold for the position he plays.

Wisconsin had a 28-9 win in 2013 and a 38-14 win in 2017, but both of those games went into the 4th quarter before Wisconsin added on late. 2013 was 14-9 going into the 4th and 2017 was 24-14 going into the 4th.

They never beat Iowa like Iowa has beat them the last 3 years other than the last year of Fry and first year of Kirk when they were winning Rose Bowls and Iowa was complete dog shit.

Have we gone 4 DE before yesterday? There was one third down we had anderson, campbell, epenesa and brown all out on the line together

People can’t get over Montgomery being 5’11” and just assume that means he’s not good. He’s been Iowas second best defensive player behind Hawthorn.
His lack of height is a plus in the run game. Great leverage

Wisconsin had a great program who's identity was bludgeoning teams with a power running game, and a tough, attacking defense.

Then they were like "Hell with this let's turn ourselves into a Big 12 team".

If they would have just been patient they could have Chryst and use the money they payed him to go away to buy a gm and some players. It really is a shame

Children, Wisconsin football is a terrific example in “you have to know who you are.”

These guys must share my irrational prejudice

Lol I'm not disagreeing with you about Cam. I'm disagreeing with your assessment of Montgomery.

I was kidding about your prejudice. Your love for tiny Heck shows you're not prejudiced against undersized players. Unless he's your token midget.

I like Montgomery! Just not covering TEs or 3rd down backs or trying to chase speed on the perimeter! He's an absolute beast against the inside run! And much improved over last season generally (when he was still way better than Harrell).

I was also wrong about how much Montgomery's limitations would be actual liabilities in this defense. Part of that is Cam's range and part of that is Wallace's play at cash.

I would be willing to bet he also helps Buffington a ton in prep. A real coach on the field. A epperpot.

Who hasn’t let it go? I haven’t seen anyone do anything but sing his praises for how good he’s been this year. Or we just talking about ol Gustang here?

Their identity, which seems to be fully intact, is getting away with false starts on nearly every single snap

they also could have kept taken the interim tag off Leonhard and hired a good OC with the savings from not buying out Fickell. just an awful program fit.

Wisconsin AD freaked out and did what so many stupid HawkeyeHeaven, IowaFan, L. Wade, Shawnee morons have wanted to do from time to time with Kirk, and that is "totally change it up and go after it".

Chryst had become a bore and was going through a slightly mediocre stretch and started 2-3 that season. In their defense, he wasn't adjusting to the new era in recruiting, but they could have forced him to. Instead, not in their defense, they fired a guy that had this record at Wisconsin...

Pure fucking stupidity. Even dumber than when Nebrantska fired Bo Pelini while listening to their idiot fans.

Now look at where both programs are and have been. I hope Iowa never makes this idiotic mistake.

Wisconsin’s defense has been much less formidable, at least for Iowa, since they abandoned their 3-4 in favor of a 4-3. Fickell should hired Aranda or Leonard back.
