I don't get the substitutions. It seems like there are four possibilities, none of which are encouraging:
1) He has his system so he's going to run his system, even if all the evidence in front of him indicates that it's not working. Stubborn.
2) He's trying to find combinations that work by throwing shit on the wall and seeing what sticks. Desperate.
3) He doesn't want to hurt his kids' feelings -- he wants to show every guy on the roster that he has confidence in him, so everybody gets to play. Indulgent.
4) He sees that no lineup really wants to defend or grit it out, so he just throws them out there. Resigned.
Whatever the motivation(s), it's fucking ugly and sad basketball. At least Dr. Tom's two bad teams tried, and looked like they understood how to play defense.
