They owe Purdue an ass kicking. Win this and sets up a Sunday game at Illinois for a Top 4 seed in the BTT.
Just like he did as a freshman against Purdue at CHA.I see a 3-party happening on Tuesday night... and shitty luck for PU, it ain't gonna be them providing all the (made) shots this time.
84-67, good guys.
Kriener makes 2 or 3 treys on Sr. Night and flexes & blows kisses like he just don't care.
With MSU winning the share of the title was out of the pictureI want to be so super pissed, like kicking babies and drowning kittens mad, but force myself to remember how limited this roster is and they still found a way to finish above .500 in the B10 and locked up an NCAA bid a couple weeks ago (at least).
Mad about the absolute lack of effort for what this game represented - a share of the B10 title on the line & Sr. Night - but still a really good year in the grand scheme of things.
They have to want to shoot. Neither of them wanted to shoot, especially Wieskamp. They passed up countless open shots so Bakari or Connor or Kreiner could chuck up terrible shots.Purdue shot 8-32 in the second half and won by 9.
Iowa had an opportunity around the 16 minute mark to get it under 10 and make it a real game and they continued to take terrible shots. It felt like they were trying to get it all back with 1 shot rather than continuing to chip away at the lead.
Also, Fran has got to get Frederick and Wieskamp more shots. He also needs to tel every player on the team, if you hesitate before shooting a 3, don’t shoot it. Move the ball and get it back. When Connor took the 2 in rhythm he knocked them down. When he hesitated he wasn’t even close.
