It would be really nice to see a couple bigger DT pursued. Given the DT's job in Iowa's defensive scheme is to keep the LB free, I have a minor amount of concern about a 285lb DT making the jump to the B10. Obviously Iowa has had success with DT's that size in the past, but also think there is historical evidence to suggest that having 1 of those bigger, can't be moved fellas is pretty helpful.

Iowa has mostly had DTs that size and have been fine. A couple have been 310 or so but that's the exception.

Hawthorne is more developmental. Was only a freshman this year and didn’t start. So plenty of time to add 15 lbs.
