I like how there's this big push by SWARM to raise money for football, but virtually no push by Brad and Fran for basketball

The whole thing is stupid. Fran plays things by the book, which has always been stupid, but in today’s game it is straight up fucking insane. What is the point of claiming some moral high ground?
Wasn’t he the chair of the ethics committee at one point?

Maybe because Brad doesn’t give a shit about basketball. Which works for me.
Which is also dumb, because unless the next Tom Brady is from Riverside Iowa will never be able to win at a high level in the current college football landscape where they absolutely could in basketball.

If Fran cared about doing what is right he’d have resigned several years ago

Definitely need a guy named Brickus

Yes please. For gambling reasons, I watched a couple of their games in the A-10 tourney and he was the best player on the floor. Definitely more of a score first pg based on the games I saw but would be a good compliment to Harding imo.

Iowa needs to get a bunch of mid-market slashers who play defense and have a chip on their shoulder.
See you make all these inane comments about everyone else and then you come on here and say Iowa sure couldn't use a scoring point guard on the roster, or any point guard. You're very stupid.

So Iowa will end up his second choice. We've seen this movie before.
Look, if he goes somewhere else we didn't want him anyway. We want guys we are ALL IN on being a HAWKEYE!!!! That's how I feel about it. #InFranWeTrust

It's not word on the street, it's a fact. Fran got an offer late last night and is taking it. It's a done deal, players have been notified via smoke signals, carrier pigeon, Pony Express and press conference is scheduled for 5pm.
5 central, eastern or what?

It is almost as if Iowa could use a new head coach. Hard to envision the Swarm getting much in donations for BB as long as Fran is the coach. Fans have watched what this program is and what it will continue to be

it is super difficult to envision a scenario where we don't have fran unless he chooses to walk away/retire

i could see something like happened w/ Alford (or mcdermott at isu) where fran steps away to take a seemingly lesser job due to an understanding that he's fully played out his hand here.

does fran really think he will 'break through ' in a few years and finally do some damage in march?
otherwise its year after year of the same ol crap,l with lessening fan interest

yes, I believe he thinks this and I tend to agree with him. Our recruiting and development has been strong lately.
