I gave Jones a lot of shit his first couple years - deservedly so but he's been great the last 2 years and will play in the NFL for a long time.

People forget the stellar S/T play before Woods. Not diminishing his ability as he is a very good coach, but look at the guys prior to when he even first helped out in 2012.

Kicker: Kaeding was unreal for his time and Schlicher was good. Murray and Meyer were solid.
Punter: Donahue played in the NFL and Bradley was above average.
Returner: CJ Jones, Brodell, DJK,etc

I’m sure I’m missing some guys but Iowa has had good special teams going back to the Fry days. This is unfortunate but really not that big of a deal.

My youth memory has Sean Considine getting one blocked punt per game and then also one time Paki O’Meara got one.

Iowa ran a bunch of unique fakes in 2018 but I can’t remember any other than a failed fake field goal against Nebrantska in 2019.

Iowas had a couple bad years on special teams, but they’ve mostly been very good. Those bad years coincided with having a shitty punter.
