Yep, MG is by far the best qb we have had in long time and no qb on our roster since the Petras era began would have won as many games as MG did this year. I am very grateful for him. But even with that being true he wasn’t some sort of generational talent. As a Big Ten school we should be able to upgrade from MG without it being some sort of miracle. It just doesn’t seem that way because of how truly awful all our other options have been in recent memory.

Nah, mostly because they can and should be able to get another punter about on the same level. Dakin was fine, but nothing special. His best game was his last game.

I would assume Levar. Iowa is losing both long snappers and their kicker. So he was looking at a new position coach and a new group to work with. Maybe that kid from Monticello that ended up at Georgia makes his way back. His dad was begging for an Iowa offer.

I also heard from someone I trust over the weekend that Levar was actually one of the weaker coaches on staff. Great recruiter, but was moved to special teams because he struggled to remember plays when coaching TE. Wallace was always going to be above him on the pecking order.
