ISU doesn’t have a bunch of money. They had a nearly empty roster which freed up the little money they do have.
Is he from Washington St?I watched his highlights yesterday. His name made me think he'll have to uber to the game as opposed to riding in the plane.
I think he was hurt most the year. He passed the eye test.
Tell us you huff paint thinner and read too much Cyclone Fanatic without telling us you huff paint thinner and read too much Cyclone Fanatic.Iowa State has added a bunch of seemingly good players, mostly because they have a bunch of $$.
I don’t care about any of it until Kirk’s boys score more points than they do.Tell us you huff paint thinner and read too much Cyclone Fanatic without telling us you huff paint thinner and read too much Cyclone Fanatic.
Their best recruits on the OL are (a) a dude who played ST at Auburn and has no game experience in two years, and (b) a guy from OU who has nearly as many sacks allowed as starts in that same time.
The QB they got from ASU has a transfer rating below fucking JJ Kohl.
Their overall portal class ranking is below Iowa's despite having four or five times the number of players in it.
Like, if this is trolling, it isn't even *good* trolling.
In hoops, sure.Yea ISU probably does have more NIL money than Iowa. That's not the problem for them. It's overall revenue to keep operations afloat.

Iowa State has added a bunch of seemingly good players, mostly because they have a bunch of $$. Depth is gonna be a problem because they seem to be spending all of their $$ on 1/2 the players at this point.
I'd take their QB over any we've had recently, but he's only a one year guy.
I'd take their new RB over any we currently have.

Still getting another DT, LS and punter.I thought Tyler Barnes said they were done
A second punter?Still getting another DT, LS and punter.
Looks like a schmuck. Hard passDidn't want anyways
I'm sure he'll fuck a football tooI think he only does basketball
Who is the QB that Iowa State acquired? Just tried to dmofr with no such luck
Yeah not bad. Not an elite runner, but not bad either and looks like he can throw a bit.![]()

Not sure who is huffing paint thinner...that's a hell of a negative spin on those recruits. There are plenty that are more questionable, butTell us you huff paint thinner and read too much Cyclone Fanatic without telling us you huff paint thinner and read too much Cyclone Fanatic.

I think every ISU fan is happy as a one year stop gap option. Especially with his OC at Ark St coming to Ames as his QB coach. He can be TO prone, but can also make plays. And I have the feeling they'll need a mobile QB as the piece together an OL from scratch.Yeah not bad. Not an elite runner, but not bad either and looks like he can throw a bit.
That's a pretty good get for Iowa State
I laughed at that as well.Leading Arkansas State to a 21-16 record in the illustrious Sun Belt West? Wow!!!
6.5 ypa 19 TD and 11 INT in the fun beltLeading Arkansas State to a 21-16 record in the illustrious Sun Belt West? Wow!!!

Now do Bacon.
My godparents grandson played at Arkansas State this year. I’m on it for HALO to get the scoop!!!!Leading Arkansas State to a 21-16 record in the illustrious Sun Belt West? Wow!!!
I still call 'em the InjunsIf only we had a Red Wolf among us...
I guess my skepticism is that legitimate 4 star guys that are living up to expectation at an SEC program would command money Iowa State simply can't pay.Not sure who is huffing paint thinner...that's a hell of a negative spin on those recruits. There are plenty that are more questionable, but
(a) The "dude who played ST at Auburn and has not game experience in two years...can also be described as "a former 4* top 200 recruit that has three years of eligibility left, played every game for Auburn in the SEC last year as a RS Frosh on punt/FG/PAT line, and followed his position coach to Ames" https://247sports.com/player/deandre-carter-46115707/high-school-264580/
(b) the "guy from OU..." is also a former 4* top 200 recruit that has battled injuries to stay on the field but when healthy started the first four games of the season for OU in 2024 before losing the rest of the season to injury" https://247sports.com/player/jake-taylor-46094663/college-282246/
The "QB they got from ASU" who you quote to have a transfer rating below JJ Kohl (for the almost zero value that transfer portal rankings are worth. The offer lists are much better than the "portal rankings") has thrown for 8,600 yards and 52 TDs in three years as a starter, plus ran for another 1200 and 15 TDs leading Arkansas State to a 21-16 record as a starter.
There are a ton of depth signings among the 40 or so transfer commits, but there are also some really good players. It's not trolling to say that.
Terrell had 7 sacks last year at WSU (3.5 of which were against Ole Miss, Washington, and JMU)
Hayes has had 39 catches and over 500 yards each of his frosh and soph years at Tulane.
Awls has 124 tackes and 9 INTs in his two years starting at Toledo.
Pettaway was the MAC frosh of the year as a RB and first team all conf KR at Bowling Green.
Jackson was a top 100 recruit as a WR as OU before eventually landing at Tarleton St and putting up 800+ yards and 6 TDs last year.
Exline was a 2 time D2 All American LB with 143 tackles, 19.5 TFLs, 5.5 sacks at UTPB last year.
King was one of the top OL in the MAC last year.
They certainly won't all pan out... and there is absolutely going to be depth issues. And there is going to be a lack of a high end first team all conference type star, but the roster isn't going to be a wasteland either.
