I’m not sure what anyone was expecting. We’ll get some guys and they will be upgrades from the guys that left. The only transfer that really sucks is Jacobs and he couldn’t stay healthy so…..

We have an objectively superior QB to everyone currently on the roster coming in. Proctor is most likely coming. We’re a long way from needing to be actually concerned.

As long as Kirks morbidly obese idiot son is gone or demoted by the end of winter I will remain cautiously optimistic.

Nope, we’ve been actually at the point of needing to be concerned for years now. So LOL at being “a lomg way” from that after what we’ve seen in the last couple weeks.

What exactly would make you concerned?

They literally have CFP playoff QB from a “blue blood” program paid NIL to come to Iowa with the promise of changes on offense and he’s been on the record saying that. Yes they should have gotten rid of Brian and permanently benched Peaches last year but I’d like to think Kirk isn’t flat out lying to players.

Interesting, if you told me the offense was going to finish 30 spots higher, I’d still be concerned because thats still a bad offense. And I don’t think they will improve 30 spots. To be far from concerned I’d have to believe they improve 50-55 spots. So for the record, I am still firmly parked at “concerned”.

Guess we’ll see.

New transfer QB ---> Check
New transfer WR ---> ???
Proctor on campus ---> ???
Kirk’s son, Brian Ferentz gone ---> ???

That's the list. We check those boxes and we'll be a much improved offense next season.

I'll be a happy camper.

That’s a solid list. I’m hopeful for another 1-2 WR (in addition to your 1), and then 1 each of OL/TE/CB/LB. Think most/all will happen, but would obviously like to get as many top targets on board before settling for fallbacks.

You're more optimistic than I.

It sure feels like Kirk Ferentz and his sons by blood and marriage, both of whom he employs through wholly acquiescent Gary Barta, are reaping it.
Kirk’s son, Brian Ferentz reports directly to Gary Barta to avoid any chance of impropriety.

I don’t know about the son in law though. Kurt seems to have slipped that one past everyone.

Michigan and Ohio State’s NIL programs are a mess relative to their place in college football. They have a bunch of former players (like Cardale Jones) trying to start their own collectives. So instead of having a single collective like Iowa has with swarm, they have 3 or 4. It’s dividing up the money and limiting how much they have to offer individual prospects.

If you can’t trust Cardale Jones to set up a proper collective, who can you trust?

Just saw a nice We Will commercial with Matt Campbell which sounded like it was recorded with Jamie Pollards phone in a closet.

If Teslaa chooses ISU, I don't know what to think
