A quality offseason is one in where we upgrade to a competitive offense. Getting to average would be a success IMO.

I believe to get there we need to upgrade:
QB-Done
OL-Hopefully done, and hopefully KP is enough plus development of current OL.
WR-Not done
Coaching staff (Proven OC with no ties to the current offense)-Not done
TE-wasnt necessary but a nice addition anyway

I agree with everything Doug says but I hope he still lets me eat his ass after all this is over anyways. I might just have to start disagreeing with him just to get on his shit eating list

All looks really good, but Brian has repeatedly shown that good TEs do not a successful offense make when he’s in charge of it.

Seeing a lot about WR done deals in this thread, yet no names. Seems like an easy way to back pedal into "I told you so, retard" type comments when a third string WR from Kentucky Wesleyan commits.
But is that guy better than Wick?

Rest assured, Halo Randy will be carrying on like the biggest faggot imaginable if/when this happens.

I continue to be baffled by the amount of IowaFan that still thinks Kirk is going to make huge coaching changes before a bowl game.

Retards everywhere.
This is one of those times when there is yawning gap between what Kirk/Garta are expected to do and what they should (and most successful coaches/ADs would) do. just because we know what he will do doesn’t make it intelligent or even defensible

Bowl prep practices are huge for players development and learning for next season- Coaches....nope don't want to move on yet.

Assuming Brian’s departure is indeed imminent (which I do not), the delay in announcing it and finding/naming his replacement totally is not a stupid counterproductive charade to pretend his leaving is the product of something other than his epically shitty tenure as offensive coordinator!

I find it hard to care about the OC considering they're going to be running the same Kirk-approved offense. I suppose part of that not caring is the utter disbelief that we're getting a QB who's proven himself capable of winning games on the biggest stages. Between that and a young OL whose biggest flaw was the completely correctable center snap (Cam Juergens is the perfect comparison), I haven't been this optimistic for the upcoming year in a while.

A center snap that is correctable, but wasn't corrected for an entire season?

I think we should search for an offensive line guru that can fix the center snap issues. I know Brian's expertise is QBs, but there has to be someone out there..

I feel like it’s not a difficult skill for a center to master, and most of the time a center will have that down by seventh grade. Seems weird we have a center who hasn’t got it down yet

Juergens had never played center before and he struggled his whole first year. I know this because I watched every play of the Scott Frost era.

The occasional shitty shot gun snaps you can live with and blame on inexperience but the snaps under center with the weird glitch is absurd.

I think Logan Jones is a homosexual. NTTAWWT. Spencer just got him so hot when he was under center he couldn’t concentrate.
