I’ll get on the pear wagon if he shoots 100% from 3pt
LolHe’s a chucker on top of being a slow midget. Wonderful.
o rly?It is. But no one complains like reporters.
and immediately blown by
it took him ten seconds to give up a layup
Imagine picking iowa over Purdue or Gonzaga and watching the coaches kid play before you.
i hate to tell you but
he can’t dribble with his left hand. He’s not a point guard.
Who would have thought you needed to replace an nba pg who handled the ball all game?
funny how it always works out that way when the coach has a kid on the team
I dont have much else to say, as I told everyone what was coming.
that’s fucking retarded. The main guys played like 5 mins together.
We have terrible hands. Slow down everyone.
that’s crazy talk. First I’ve heard of this tactic. If this McCollum playing time trend is actually real you can kiss any remote shot at getting Daughtry goodbye. Talk about giving the other guy the gun on the recruiting trail.
Sometimes the truth is more retarded than fiction I guess. Never thought this would be an actual worry.that’s crazy talk. First I’ve heard of this tactic.
Neither of them have looked anything other than average. They are going to be completely different/shittier players without Stirtz.Sage and Koch will clearly be the best players
I agree with pretty much all of this. Coon was great on both ends. I thought Jirak showed he has significantly improved and it seems like he can be a reliable backup to McKeever. Good size, good passer, can pick n pop a little bit. That’s a strong backup 5. I like Coleman and think he will be a great asset this year.No McKeever is tough since he was brought in to fill a specific void. At the same time, he’s not going to play all game so need to figure out wtf to do when he’s not in there. Tonight not a bad time to test that out a bit.
No concerns with Sage or Koch. They’re solid. Combs good too and in control. No reason to worry about any of these three at this point
Good to see Coon in there. He’s athletic as fuck and I’m guessing Ben likes that on D and will take his chances with him on O as long as a couple legit shooters are out there too.
Surprised at Trey Thompson. Was hoping to see more of him but that is obviously Ben’s call. Thompson, Harris and Coon are all the same age so maybe as simple as Coon being the best. Really was hoping for a Thompson bump this year though.
Matteoni and McCollum were annoying. McKeever playing probably keeps Matteoni on the bench for the most part. McCollum was going to play regardless due to the shitty opponent. Howard getting in foul trouble accelerated him getting in there. Neither are terrible, and they give good effort, but they should really only get spot minutes.
I like Coleman. I want to like Howard but he makes it difficult at times.
It’s still the first fucking game so all that is probably hot garbage, but those are my thoughts.
#FireBenHe’s still way better than lil lick. No one is shooting well tonight.
That should get them back to the Elite 8 and win over transfers from SEMO.It doesn’t really matter, but Matteoni actually had an incredibly efficient 9 minutes.
he was at Elon before that. What’s the story with the Simpkins kid transferring from Oregon to Lipscomb of all places? 32 MPG and 12.5 PPG in the Big Ten as a second year kid and he transfers down?
Holy shit, Doug. Calm the fuck down. It's the first game of the year and a 20+ pt win.I think Ben spent the offseason sniffing his own farts. Very very proud of himself.
If the gold is that I said Peyton McCollum and Joey shouldn't play over 4* players, dig away on that gold.Yeah I think some of y'all might be overreacting (no wai!) just a bit about last night. And about Peyton McCollum. Could be a vein of gold to be dug (Doug) in a couple years. I hope I remember. Probably won't.
That's all you've said?If the gold is that I said Peyton McCollum and Joey shouldn't play over 4* players, dig away on that gold.
It was the 1st game. Relax.McCollum has Peyton and Joey in his first half regular rotation and his 4* duo with offers from Purdue, Gonzaga, Tennessee and other high major programs buried as the 13th and 14th players. That's a shocking and alarming development.
This is the Big Ten. You will not compete if you cannot evaluate and motivate highly talented and highly recruited players, one who has been in the program for over a year now. It's going to get used against you. Everyone recruiting against you is going to point to the talent buried while Daddy's boy and Joey get significant minutes.
No matter what you think, this is not a good sign. At all.
