Shit I wish I knew that. I was just texting with @douglasbader (signs them all HBAM! lol) and he told me he was missing him. Next time you see him if you could tell him hi from his friend doug that'd be great. We'd both appreciate it.
I've got no issue with Douche4Lyfe. I like making fun of him, but that's about it.

This is silly. 25% means a lot less the higher you get. That said, it’s obviously still a significant amount of money. But the risk I’m talking about is that he seems to be on a track to becoming a head coach fairly soon. There is risk in coming to Iowa. It could derail those plans if things don’t go well
He's a head coach next season, no doubt. He has to be one of the top names in the country.

Just hire a competent OC.

With no more weak West schedules, Iowa is going to become a 6 win waste of Phil.

This is overstated. We still have our 3 NC games then play Minnesota, Nebrantska, Wisconsin, Northwestern, then MSU and Maryland. We already would have had one like at OSU. Now we play at UCLA and Washington at home. A little tougher, not a 3 win gap.

A competent OC would recognize weaknesses that they may have as a team and make necessary adjustments. There are a lot of weaknesses on Iowa's offense, but someone like Chryst or Grubb, or even an OC from a high ranking FCS school would recognize them and make proper adjustments.

It has been said before, but I’m saying it again because it’s completely crazy….Iowa attempted to run the exact offense again last night that its defense, by design, forces other teams to run.

Death by 1000 cuts isn’t feasible when a single incompletion, negative run or 5 yard penalty means a guaranteed punt.

Kirk can say "execute" all he wants, but the bottom line is that if you haven't recruited and developed players who can execute the scheme against high level competition, they're not going to be able to execute.

New OC, new QB, some transfer linemen if you can get anything better than you currently have.

It really is kind of amazing how Brian has not been successful at any part of his job.

The coaches know that 3rd and 12 is such an insurmountable distance that they always just run the ball with the intent to punt. I can’t believe there hasn’t been any sort of rebellion.

Throwing a pass 45 yards downfield is a low probability play. Punting is a zero probability play.

The worst part, they’re not wrong. And it’s all by choice. They’ve chosen to bring in immobile QBs who cannot extend plays when pressure comes on 3rd and long. They chose to bring back and feature Ragaini, who has no ability to get separation in the man to man situations you get when teams send extra guys. They choose to go empty with no one to pick up the blitz when they know they have a line who struggles and receivers/TEs who can’t even get to the sticks before the ball needs to get out.

Kirk dragging this out until after the bowl game will drive me crazy
I don't see a path for this, but I kind of hope we drop to the Vegas Bowl as it would be the earliest we can move on from Brian.

Bowed for two reasons:

(1) This has nothing to do with the new OC; and

(2) Get that Hawkeye Heaven shit out of here.
You could be a dick and do what you did, or edit so I don’t look like a complete dumbfuck.

You could also change my name to The Bull or The Original Bull, but we both know that ain’t gonna happen.
