I honestly don’t really know how you successfully move away from a senior starter like Perkins
It’s not really that difficult. The coach just picks the best guys and tells them they are starting. Happens all the time all over the country. You may be surprised to learn that football coaches also occasionally change quarterbacks

I know this is stupid, but I have legitimately thought before that they're just trying to force Logan Jones to happen after Linderbaum was so successful.
I’ve had the same thought. They want it to work so bad that they’ve convinced themselves he’s good despite the play on the field. Instead of realizing they should have left him on defense they’re just doubling down while a better player stands on the sideline.

At least he had the snap cadence figured out this year.

I really enjoy the thread in which you chose to post this.

3rd team all big ten (coaches) Logan Jones? Seems pretty dumb to think he isn’t any good.

I can understand thinking Elsbury might be as good or better at the point of attack due to his size but he’s nowhere near as athletic and able to get outside or to the second level the way Jones can.

Wouldn't be the first time such a thing has happened on the offensive side of the ball.

2002: The jailbreak screen was the shit. They then proceeded to run it into the ground such that, by 2007, teams could pretty much predict when it was coming and adjust accordingly. (Huh, fancy that.)

2011: managed the largest comeback in school history by running a slant and post heavy no huddle against a prevent defense with a QB who set Iowa HS passing records in a slant-based offense. Tried to run the exact same thing the next week, and PSU sat on the slants and held us to three (3) points.

2017: hung 55 on Ohio State in part by throwing 4 TDs to two future all-pro TEs. Every future iteration of the Brian offense became TE-centric in the passing game, to the extent that when a shit CSU team nearly beat us in '21 in part by basically only throwing to TEs, the immediate response was to hire their OC as an analyst after he was fired for being shitty along with the rest of that staff after *one fucking year*.

2022: "We just got done converting a DL into an All-Pro center - obviously that's the recipe. You there, in the DL room, congratulations, you're now our #1 center! This worked before, it'll definitely work again!"

This is a feature, not a bug.

...that would be the point of calling it a feature and not a bug, because if they thought it needed fixed it would have been fixed a long time ago, and oh, fuck this, I'm just tired of all of it, this is who Kirk is, take the good with the bad, and Jesus fuck let someone who's not an OL-centric idiot savant run the offense and get us some hardware aieeeeeeee---

My grandparents still had one of those phones in 2006.

Twas awesome
I remember the day as a kid that my parents acquired and hooked up a 2nd phone in our basement. Fun times.

I'm not quite old enough to remember the party line though.

We had a “teen line” growing up. That was always fun to fight over.

Trick answer, he doesn’t need to make a call to talk to Bud.

I might too. I don’t want things to get that far, but they might.

Hopefully Utah getting beat by Northwestern didn’t hurt Ludwig’s chances.

Chryst isn’t perfect but would be pretty hard to be mad about. While he apparently wasn’t great with some of the CEO stuff he still would bring the perspective of a 10 year P5 HC, and even the offenses at the end of his UW time were ranked in the 60s by F+.
