When you have playmakers you just need to get them the ball in a position where making one guy miss can create a big play. Throwing it downfield isn't necessary.

As shitty as we all knew Petras was and is, the second half yesterday demonstrated that he is now absolutely broken. He badly missed open throws when he had time in ways that were different from the last two years’ general inconsistency and unreliability. He’s Mark Wohlers and Rick Ankiel pitching and Chuck Knoblach throwing to first and Sergio Garcia putting. Those throws were incomplete before the ball was snapped. He was already convinced of it.

I can’t possibly imagine how that somehow changes in a week - especially when wherever he goes he will be reminded that he has earned his status as a complete joke.

You can’t possibly convince me that he'll look good in practice, either. But he’ll play. And he’ll probably play every snap.
