Surprised nothing from Cade yet

And haven’t heard any rumors yet on Kirk retiring.

I could not disagree more. Nwankpa is a FS and he's been playing out of position for his entire career. The further he gets from the LOS, the better.

He's got plenty of speed and he's a natural center fielder. He lacks quickness in short areas which would make him absolutely terrible at Cash.
Whatever keeps him the furthest away from tackling the ball carrier, I'm all for.
He should’ve been playing WR this whole time.

Someone will pay him to play.
a self identification test for whether there are bigger QB retardates in CFB bigger than one Kirk Ferentz. I’m less certain than you are that they exist.

Any other guesses who may transfer out? I haven’t heard much but not an insider.

Pat Harty said several and he's a retard. So take that for its worth

Free education is a good bet I’d say

Marco is fast. Hopefully we can get a decent QB in the portal and we can convince fat Marco to move over to tight end or fullback.

Marco shouldn’t see the field at any position for Iowa. Simple as that.

There are a lot of smaller schools who would happily take him.

Lol why? I don't understand why so many people are so sure he sucks. Is this some Halo thing where people just keep trying to top each other by saying extreme shit?
He got one chance to practice and play for Iowa as a starter and with that chance he played better than the guy he replaced. With significant practice and repetition with the 1s I wouldn’t be shocked if he was better than each of the 3 starters that proceeded him.

I don’t really think that’s extreme. He’s not a very good QB and he doesn’t exactly have some sort of special athleticism to legitimately move to a different position. He has some mobility as a QB and could manage his way thru a season as a fallback option if needed. But he’s not going to magically turn into something that’s actually makes any meaningful improvement. He might be better than Spence or Deacon or Cade, but that’s a low bar, and not really even a given. Sullivan overtook him quickly and coaches haven’t exactly been heaping praise on him like they would if there’s something there. All that was before he got hurt too.

But how do you know that?

Yeah, it's a complete mystery why one wouldn't be optimistic about a Kirk’s son, Brian Ferentz recruited QB who couldn't find snaps behind Hill and the next season fell behind a walk on.

He's probably a future star.

The fact he never saw the field only tells me he was likely better than all the guys in front of him, based on how BF evaluated. But really no one knows if he's good, and certainly no one knows that he sucks and should never see the field. I'm sorry to break up the Halo hyperbole bubble.

I'm sure Illinois, Maryland, Michigan State State, Pittsburgh, and West Virginia were all wrong to offer him.

Brian was a quarterback and play calling nightmare, so we should make zero assumptions based on his decisions. While he didn’t play this year, my understanding is that he is ahead of Stratton but had a broken finger. Maybe I’m wrong.

I don't see it discussed, but Kirk isn't going anywhere and will hold the program as his personal hostage for years going forward....

I’m fine with Lainez staying at Iowa. Seems like a good dude and I’d much rather have a really fast guy developing under Lester than the typical fatty Iowa rolls out there. Maybe he’s a career 3rd stringer that could develop enough that he gets used on occasion in short yard situations and RZ ala Sullivan
