It’s always a positive when your verbal commitment lasted five times as long as your actual stay on campus.

Sort of a horrible experience for James. He wants to be a QB and Iowa offered him as that and why he committed to them over others, he shows up and they move him to WR anyways. He blows out his ACL a few days later.

Frankly this says more about our WR recruiting than it does our QB recruiting. We are so fucking bad in that department.

Kirk’s son, Brian Ferentz offered you as a quarterback, and that’s going to be stapled to every job application you ever fill out.

We just signed his brother . Kinda awkward.

this might be one of those 105 walk on casualties. Or maybe he wants to plat at a lower level.

I’ve mentioned this before, but it’s the same as the QB discussion we’ve been having. Iowa needs to raid the lower levels; there are a TON of ridiculously talented WR playing at small schools.

A number of years ago, I ended up at an FCS game, and this team had (3) guys better than anyone Iowa was starting at WR. Two of those guys are now on NFL rosters I believe.

I don’t have a problem offering a QB that is a great athlete but clearly not a D1 QB. Iowa has a long list of those guys that go on to be productive players. Typically those guys quickly figure out that they don’t have tbe skill set to play QB and gladly make the position change. Ree-Zar is clearly a moron and will only be able to play QB at a DIII school.

I don't know if this was already posted. I looked.

"All indications are that first-team all-Big Ten center Logan Jones and team sacks leader Ethan Hurkett will return for their sixth-year senior seasons. Both have a medical-hardship option that they can use. Big Ten return specialist of the year Kaden Wetjen also has an extra year from the COVID-19 pandemic that he could use to return for a fifth season in 2025."

None of these guys should get any money to come back.
