On paper, this is a ridiculous first week of transfer portal season for Iowa. They pick up maybe the best Safety in the portal, one of the best WR's, one of the best edge rushers, a couple solid defensive linemen, a starter level safety/cash player, and solid kicker and on the verge of possibly one of the better RB's.

Need another WR and a Punter, but this is great.

They'll find a punter.

They must be happy with the young LBs, I thought they'd go harder after a portal LB. They had offered Ebel, but LeVar Woods had the relationship there. But haven't heard much on other portal guys at the position

I don't think there's much left of them
Jeremiah Cooper would be welcome. I’ve seen nothing about places he’s considering. I know there was early talk of Iowa likely getting someone from ISU at a position of need…but that was kakert and it was two weeks ago!!!

And the smoke was regarding a tight end.

Just grab a FCS QB with some wheels for cheap. I don't care if he can throw
Being able to throw just a little bit would be fine too. Tim L. really started feeling his oats as a play caller when Gronowski remembered how to complete the basic forward pass.

Buffington isn’t the answer.

I wonder if the Big Ten is beginning to wait with their schedule announcement until after seeing how schools perform in the CFP. Like now that it’s gone this way, I wonder if they’ll backload Indiana’s schedule to keep them in the top 5 the first half of the season.

It's obvious and they have outright said they are not going for a QB in the portal. They like the experience at the position now. On one hand I'm curious to see how much having a year in the system, with full spring participation, would potentially mitigate any pure talent deficiencies.

Lulz- I mean his 6 tackles were impressive. Not playing over other less than stellar LB options isnt exactly Chad Greenway- #1 experienced LB vibes but I've already said I am probably wrong over time. They seem impressed with his bowl prep according to the beat writers- so much so- that he didn't play at all. Do they still have the game max they can play in?

[edit]Fuck you AZ......
