Given his standing with the team, maybe he could still end up back at Iowa?

That is an underwhelming list. Has to just be looking for a little bit more than Iowa was paying. Unreal.
Hard to beat Texas Tech if you’re looking to cash in

Tech is throwing money around in a desperate attempt to still not be wanted by a major conference.

I doubt it. Iowa was a little caught off guard by his decision. They tried to negotiate with him but it seemed he was set on seeing how much he was worth.

He’s obviously been thinking about this for a few months. He ran out on senior day which didn’t make a lot of sense and the assumption at the time was he was looking to go pro. Eickolt tweeted during bowl prep that he was coming back but all the other reporters said his answer was a little weird, was more of a ‘yeaaaaaah probably’

Usually the coaches have a good idea what guys are going to do, Entringer and Allen were 2 that threw them off.

Also I don’t believe Perich actually committed to Texas Tech. He’s going to take a visit to Oregon. Speculation is Tech wants both.

I would assume Louisville has money for him.

Tech has a unique opportunity to be the king of that trash heap though. They likely lack some of the natural advantages to ever consistently compete at the P2 level....but they absolutely could dominate the B12 and give themselves a shot to be in the CFP semi-consistently

this guy is going cheap on his promotional materials. vehicle headlights, phone camera, driveway. Next to no cost. Assuaging concerns about his ankle

It’s a perfect set up for them. It’s pretty much how Nebrantska built their entire program…9-10 cupcakes and one, maybe two tougher conference games. Easy access to the playoff

Way more money than all of their competitors.
Yep. Two tougher conference games per year. That’s it. Under the current conference alignment they’ll be in the CFP 8/10 years

I’d say TT would have been around 4th, 5th in the big ten

There was the guy at Wisconsin who ended up at Miami. Can't remember if they were threatening legal action right away or just not releasing him.
They're still suing Miami. It's just that since it was before the House Settlement, they didn't have any real legal way to sue the player.

This case will likely be different.

6-5 260 with three years of eligibility remaining. That’s a frame you can work with.
