77 Friday night. 6080 yds, blue-white combo. Longest drives 230, 230, 225 (with 10mph wind). Shortest 160, 165 and a couple 180s. 6 GIR, a couple being bounce-ons. Another 6 on fringe. Others 5-10 yds short from underclubbing. Good fairway woods and hybrids (5&6). Excellent chipping. Great lag putting with the $52 Temu OZ1i. No birdies or doubles. Missed 4 par putts under 7 ft. A rare no disasters shot night- just some dog drives.

IOW, textbook Old Man Golf. Walked 23 solo holes (Temu pull cart) on a glorious cloudy evening in 4:15. Had time for extra shots and putts. A refreshing lack of mixed hacker foursomes, hip-hop or metal blasting jerks, dads with beginner 10-yr olds or shirtless 20 somethings with backwards baseball caps.

I'm the goldilocks of golf....my pace is usually just right. One really should judge their pace by sharing the links with a guy like me.

That reminds me. The first time I'd ever encountered someone playing music while playing golf was 6Deuce a few years back. It had never occurred to me that was a thing as golf is supposed to be a quiet sport (it is for me! Yuk Yuk!). Now it's everywhere. Maybe because of bluetooth speakers? Most people are responsible about it, but last week there was one group with it really blaring. I mean, I could hear it. Not cool, man.

Hell, I'll even pause walking with my pull cart so as not to have my clubs make noise if I'm anywhere near someone teeing off or on the green putting.

Indiana at Iowa on BTN now. Godammit. Gronowski doesn't get hurt, Iowa gets at least one first down late, clocks ticks down, Stevens makes a short fg or maybe even a td. Indiana doesn't have 2 full minutes. Iowa wins, finishes 9-3, and who tf knows.
