NILs are going to look a lot different in a few years. The ROI is going to be fucking terrible in most cases and I’d make a decent wager that Proctor will become a cautionary tale for NILs paying obscene amounts of money for genetic freaks who abused players half their size in HS. Additionally, the NCAA will impose restrictions and close loopholes.

Of course college football will change behind the scenes but lol that it’s “dead”. It’s football. Everyone here is still going to watch even if they hate the business side of it.

Some serious whiplash here from a week or two ago when Brian was guaranteed gone, Portal Kirk, etc. and everyone was beating themselves raw to this current state of despair. I’m about a million times more disgusted by the Ferentz family business than I am about some players getting paid.
The whiplash will happen the other direction again at some point. It’s kinda the way it’s always worked.

Cade has himself a huge opportunity to become an absolute Iowa legend. And he doesn't even have to win games. Lol. Just don't lose them.
Through the trials and tribulations of the NIL fallout, a savior in the form of a white man named “Cade” would be the most Iowa Football thing imaginable to happen under the Moon Family Head Coach Kirk Ferentz.

That’s the first time I heard a dollar amount associated with the Maye stuff. Maybe I just gussed it though

Similar to the changes in the zone blocking rules and RPO, I’m guessing there will be more teeth-gnashing and angry foot stomping than speedy adjustments in approach.
They’d first half to hire coaches that know how to implement those schemes.

No, KF said he doesn't make changes until after bowl game and he wouldn't lie to the fans. He loves us!

it's not the Xs and Os, it's the Jimmys and Joes. Belichek couldn't have done much with our qb and o line.

That being said, having him coach the QBs is like having John Kruk as your pitching coach.

I have a feeling our offense might not be much better next year
The horrible thing is it could improve by leaps and bounds and still be really shitty.

Shoot, if someone offered us a chance that our offense would be only the fourth or fifth worst in the conference next year, who wouldn’t leap to happily accept it? I certainly would.

Hopes lives in the hitman. He dreams of something other than Bridawg or Buddyboy, although of what I’m not clear.

McNamara’s stats aren’t really that impressive btw. He only appears to be Jesus because he’s being compared to complete shit

If Kirk had any kind of confidence in Labas or May I have a difficult time seeing him going after Cade.

I’m sort of looking at the McNamara situation as a getting someone to bridge the gap. He should be more than good enough to get Iowa to Indy next year. Assuming they actually can make the necessary changes and upgrade or develop their personnel. It will also allow them to see what then have and “develop” Fat Marco and maybe Resar if he keeps his commitment.

A competent, if unspectacular player with some confidence and leadership characteristics that won’t consistently fuck the team with the kind of pantshitting stupidity and total lack of athleticism we’ve been dealing with for the last 3 years.
