Idea being that there will be a decrease in State revenue if ISU athletics are shit and fewer fans are traveling, staying in hotels, spending money, etc. as a result. Not a bad plan honestly as it’s pretty much all Pollard can do, but it’s still fun to watch them squirm. If he somehow does get money out of the state, then even more will need to come to Iowa City based on the same argument. Which is nice.

No it's not. I would prefer my tax dollars not go to this. The state is going to be in tough fiscal shape in a few years anyway imo.
