Well. Get your ass to the fridge, boy.I just realized I haven’t had a beer all week. Even tonight.
What the fuck. It’s like I forgot or something.
Ketchup on steak is not good. My dad does it but no one else I know.So catsup then?Men don’t A-1 their steaks. So no.Does your dick taste like a1?
I was just joking. I use no sauce on my steak.Ketchup on steak is not good. My dad does it but no one else I know.So catsup then?Men don’t A-1 their steaks. So no.
Men don't use A-1 either. That shit sucks.
However either of these are okay to use, and I use and recommend both, fuck the haters:

What do you mean by “using the edge of the pan”?salt and pepper only before you sear it
use butter, and use the edge of the pan to your advantage
medium rare if you must, and let it set for god's sake

turn it every minute after the first sear, and spoon ladle the butter to baste the meat
not fancy -- simply the proper way to do it

You're on thin ice, fella.I’ve been known to have a little bit of jack stack seasoning on the side. Blessed.
This feels like the point that doug should come in and bitch at us.This is the most halo steak talk ever.
Please move this to the cast iron thread.Sear in a cast iron skillet for a minute or so on each side and then finish in the oven imo

Medium rare plain very good.Who are the guys here who enjoy their steaks well done? Come out of the shadows and reveal yourselves.
I assume the ketchup and various sauces crowd is heavily well done.
Haven't cooked heart before but I've used tongue to make tacos and it's fairly easy. Cook it in a slow cooker on low for 8 hours covered in water and with a bunch of aromatics, then dice it up into smaller pieces and sear those off in a pan.Since we are talking food here I have a cow tongue and heart in the freezer from a quarter beef I bought awhile back. Dont' want to throw the stuff away but don' know how to cook it. Crock pot? Slice up and fry?
Thing is huge and mostly round. Just slice it into inch thick slabs and grill like a burger or steak?I’ve grilled heart
Only if you fuck it up. If you cook it right it's really tenderCan’t say I’ve ever had beef tongue. What’s the texture like? Like a tough roast?
Cabeza is probably my favorite kind of taco but I haven't ever cooked it myself. Place near where I used to work did them really wellThe taco place by Paul's Discount (has gone by a few names) sells tongue tacos. They're decent. Not tough. The cheek tacos are much better though.
