I’m going to have to wait for HALO’s opinion before I can form my own.
He looked pretty bad as a freshmen in a bad situation at Auburn. I expect he is better than every non-Sullivan QB on the roster next year.

I’m actually reasonably excited about the pickup. Supposedly they are bringing in two portal QBs and he’s the development/likely backup one.

I'm a fan of fleet-footed Big Sul and am hoping he starts next year.

Normally I'd be pessimist, but this is a Tim Lester deal all the way. They're both from the same town in Illinois I believe so they had a connection before. Hopefully it will work out, from what I've read the kid wants to get his money as well.

This massive human being is on campus for a visit this weekend.

One of the nation’s top offensive tackle prospects, Rice’s Ethan Onianwa, is entering the transfer portal, he told The Athletic.

In 2024, in Onianwa’s first season playing left tackle for the Owls, he allowed just one sack on 294 pass blocking snaps. The 6-foot-6, 345-pound junior also only yielded two QB hurries, according to PFF. His pressure rate of 2.4 percent ranked in the top 92 percentile of all FBS offensive tackles in 2024.

Prior to this season, Onianwa had started the two previous years for Rice at right tackle. Onianwa, a bioengineering major born in Michigan, made the AAC’s All-Academic team this year. He has one season of college eligibility remaining.

Onianwa was a three-star recruit out of Cinco Ranch High School in Katy, Texas. A former high school track standout, Onianwa’s athleticism for his massive frame has intrigued NFL scouts. One top college program said he likely would be the top tackle on their board if he did enter the portal.

“He’s massive, especially in his legs and butt,” said The Athletic’s NFL Draft analyst Dane Brugler. “He bends well for his size.”

Would be great. Oregon is involved with their bottomless NIL so not sure, but he cancelled a visit to Oklahoma to visit Iowa.

Alabama running back Justice Haynes is in the portal. Favoring Michigan and Ohio State. I mean, I get it, blue blood schools. But after seeing what Kaleb Johnson did, my unbiased view is he should consider Iowa. He would easily beat out Moulton and Paterson and be a bellcow.
